The AAMoV Volunteer Manager Award of Excellence aims to recognise an individual manager of volunteers for their outstanding contributions to the profession of volunteer management and the promotion of volunteerism in the community.
In 2013 the standard of nominations was of a high calibre making the decision to select the successful recipient for the award difficult for the selection committee.
The committee was delighted to award Libby Scheinpflug with this year’s Volunteer Manager Award recognising her abilities and contributions as an outstanding manager of volunteers.
Vicky Mead, Program Coordinator, Volunteer Services, Anglican Diocese of Brisbane nominated Libby Scheinpflug describing her as a consummate professional with an unrivaled passion for volunteering and the contribution volunteers make to Australasia and their local community.
She went on to say that Libby is someone who wants to make a difference in the lives of volunteers and those they support and that this shines through in every aspect of her work.
Special mention was also made of Libby’s advocacy role for volunteers and volunteering and her tireless work in finding new ways for the Diocese’s volunteers to make a difference. Vicky described Libby as an inspirational leader who continues to inspire her team and always leads by example.
It was evident from Vicky’s nomination that Libby is held in high esteem by those who know and work with her all and that her peers have tremendous respect for the work that she does. It is obvious that she exemplifies the way that effective volunteer management and the resulting volunteer contribution can make a very real difference to a community.
Congratulations Libby! Thank you for the continued time, effort and commitment that you give to the volunteering sector and your community!
